Gloves designed and produced exclusively by Diana Martinez for the National Museum Thyssen-Bornemisza.
Inspired by the work Portrait of a Woman (Lucas Cranach the Younger, 1539).
Materials: 100% Italian Merino wool, angora, 100% baby Mohair from Valeria and cowhide strip.
All materials knitted and sewn by hand to interpret Lucas Cranach the Younger's knitting with bullocks in volume, the way of painting the slashing of the period and the lace cuffs.
Blue cowhide leather ribbon from Ubrique in reference to the background.
The hand-knitted bullroarers are an original invention of the designer to create this effect.
