After the research phase, the technical development of the collection begins, which includes the creation of prototypes, volume, color, and finish tests, as well as the preparation of production molds. The manufacture of these molds is one of the most complex and meticulous stages of the project, as the quality of each reproduction and its fidelity to the original design depend on their precision.
Once the molds are finished, the production of the stoneware pieces begins. Although the main structure is obtained by casting in a mold, each object incorporates an important manual component: leaves and flowers are individually modeled and assembled one by one, so that each piece retains small variations that make it a unique object.
After modeling, the pieces undergo a first bisque firing at 980 °C, which provides them with the necessary strength to continue the process. Next comes the decoration phase, the slowest and most delicate part of the entire work. Each piece is painted entirely by hand.
Once the decoration is finished, the pieces are carefully glazed and subjected to a second and final firing at 1,240 °C. At this temperature, the stoneware reaches its maximum hardness and the glaze definitively fuses with the surface. The final result is a collection made entirely by hand, where observation, time, and attention to detail are as important as the technique itself.
