Luz Moreno Pinart

Luz Moreno is a designer and textile artist whose practice explores the relationship between architecture and nature through materials.

From learning to international projection

She trained at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Aalto University in Helsinki—where she specialized in textile fibers—and the École Supérieure d’Art et Design in Reims, where she researched edible fibers. In 2019, she obtained the Villa Kujoyama residency in Kyoto. Since 2016, her work has been exhibited in France and internationally.

The art of connecting the living

Luz Moreno reflects on the relationship between living beings, nature, time, movement, archaeology, and architecture, as well as the ecosystems that inhabit spaces. Through drawing, sculpture, installation, cooking, and performance, she explores the interconnections between organisms, weaving narratives of life. Her installations, based on research and history, generate spaces and objects that invite encounter, reflection, and exchange, always linked to human and territorial contexts.

Collections for the Thyssen Museum

In her artistic practice, the author uses textile fibers to create handmade jewelry. As a result of this exploration, she has developed two exclusive collections for the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza:

Aspertini Collection: Made with high-quality linen, it stands out for the use of ancestral coiled thread techniques, with two hours of artisanal work dedicated to each piece.

Emil Nolde Pistils Collection: A proposal of hand-painted and woven paper, characterized by its high precision and the complex assembly process of each of its elements.
