At Magro Cardona, craftsmanship is at the heart of every pair of shoes. Each piece is crafted with care, by expert hands that master traditional techniques, yet with an eye on the present.
History, talent, and manual processes
To rescue "Made in Spain" craftsmanship and reclaim its value: this was the driving force behind Irene and Ana creating the brand. Because manufacturing 400 km from their studio was not only possible, it was the right choice for their project, for the consumer, and for the planet.
From the beginning, they committed to working hand-in-hand with the best: patternmakers, cutters, stitchers, artisans who understand their craft as a way of life. Together, they have managed to bring tradition into the realm of the avant-garde, with minimalist designs, noble materials, and a clear commitment: to offer a beautiful, well-made product at an honest price. In every Magro Cardona shoe, there is history, talent, and a conscious way of understanding fashion.
Magro Cardona and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum
The Thyssen Museum Shop and Magro Cardona have been collaborating on limited edition shoes that emerge from a creative dialogue between the brand managers and the museum shop's regular collaborating artist, Carlota Pereiro.
The footwear brand Magro Cardona and the Galician artist Carlota Pereiro have maintained a long-standing collaboration that has resulted in special editions both within and outside the Thyssen Museum. They are united by a deep creative affinity and a shared vision: to merge art and design.
Pereiro, with her mastery of color, abstraction, and form, brings a unique plastic dimension to footwear. Her work, which spans painting, sculpture, and design, brings a distinct aesthetic to the brand and enriches it.
Each project between them is a special edition, where textures, materials, and emotion intertwine, giving rise to pieces that turn art into something that also walks.
