Terrafilia, a term that combines the words Terra (Earth) and filia (love and friendship), expresses a deep connection of affection and responsibility towards the Earth and its inhabitants. However, loving the Earth is different from loving nature. It means pledging allegiance to animals, plants, terrestrial beings and supernatural creatures, while rethinking humanity's place within the intertwined web of life. This exhibition uses art to imagine and guide us towards transformative ways of being in the world, highlighting kinship between species, new types of collectivities and planetary care. It proposes a readjustment of cultural and political spaces beyond the human, paving the way for a new era of ecological and planetary thinking.
