When designing his first wristwatch, Rafael Moneo took as a starting point the watches he had designed for the towers of Logroño and the Atocha Station in Madrid. To achieve the perfect square, he opted for a surprising system of joining the bracelet to the inside of the watch itself. The Roman numerals are tall and thin, evoking ancient sundials, and strongly mark the dial, which is distinguished by its simplicity and balance. The hands incorporate the straight lines that define the whole.
