This exhibition is the seventh installment of the annual Kora programme at the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, dedicated to Spanish women artists working from a gender perspective.
On this occasion, the project revolves around the work of Noemi Iglesias Barrios (Langreo, 1987), with around twenty pieces that dialogue with some paintings from the museum's collections and that are made in media as diverse as bronze, glass, video, photography and, mainly, porcelain.
In Love Me Fast, the Asturian artist talks about romantic love in the age of social media, an idealised love on a level of consumerist happiness, confronted with the toxic relationships that often occur. The result is a series of pieces of great beauty that, at the same time, question what is considered art and craft in the history of art, and currently in contemporary art in the 21st century.
