Mohair wool scarf designed by Carlota Pereiro and produced by Mantas Ezcaray exclusively for the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum.
Inspired by the work Still Life with Fruits (Willem Van Aelst, 1664)
Made of Mohair (73% Mohair + 24% Wool), with traditional and artisanal processes in each part of the manufacturing process (from dyeing in a boat without pressure, weaving on mechanical looms converted to manual ones from the late 19th century, perching with natural thistle, cutting and brushing by hand of each item)
All these processes are crucial to obtain a mohair piece with a luxurious finish.
The printing we do is traditional printing with a mold, so each piece is unique.
Measurements: 33-34 x 180cm + twisted fringe (total length 200cm)
